What is Gross Virus?

A strain of Murine leukemia virus (LEUKEMIA VIRUS, MURINE) obtained from inbred mice with a high incidence of spontaneous lymphoid leukemia. Infection is passed by vertical transmission from one generation to another through the ovum.
