What is Trichostrongylus?

A genus of nematodes parasitic in the digestive tract of herbivorous animals. They occur only as incidental infections in humans. The following species have been reported in man: TRICHOSTRONGYLUS COLUBRIFORMIS, T. orientalia, T. axei, and T. probolurus.
